OC Biography[]
Halatir comes from a family of supporters of the Sons of Feanor, and abandoned his smith's training at an early stage to join their household guard. He fought at Alqualonde and crossed the sea in the Telerin ships, and after Feanor's death, he joined the people of Maedhros. Later, at the Feast of Reuniting, he met his wife Telperina once again and entered the service of Lord Duilin, returning to Gondolin with Turgon's people.
Halatir is currently Captain of the Swallowtails, an elite unit of archers known for holding dangerous rearguard positions and drunkenness. As their captain, Halatir shares some of their values, but not drunkenness, being a reformed alcoholic. He has previously served as Captain of the King's Guards and several military roles in the House of the Swallow, as well as frequent postings on the outer gates. His brief attempt at holding down a civilian job occurred during the final months of Gondolin, when he worked as a shop clerk in a business set up to sell his wife's weaving and artworks.
Despite numerous marital conflicts and difficulties, Halatir and Telperina have two young children, Tuilo and Laire, and are currently attempting to build a new life at the Havens of Sirion.
