Egalmoth's house is one half of the Twin-folk of the Swallow and the Heavenly Arch. Like the Swallow, it is a house of great archers, and also swordsmen. The House of the Heavenly Arch is noted for its great wealth and incorporates seven gems into its emblem:
- Every shield of that battalion was of the blue of the heavens and its boss a jewel built of seven gems: rubies, amethysts, sapphires, emeralds, chrysoprases, topazes, and amber. (Source).
Fall of Gondolin[]
In the Fall of Gondolin, the folk of the Heavenly Arch were assigned to evacuate via the Western route, the mountain pass, thus separating them from the people of the Swallow. They were later reunited and established themselves at the Havens of Sirion alongside the rest of the evacuated Gondolindrim.
